Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how The What If Movement (the "Project", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website (the "Site"). We aim to collect as little personal data as possible and to be clear about what we do with it.
1. Who is responsible
The Project is the data controller for personal data processed through the Site. You can reach us at hello@thewhatifmovement.org for any privacy question or request.
2. What we collect
- Messages you send us: if you email us or get in touch, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to share.
- Member-area accounts: if you sign in, we process your email address to send a secure sign-in link and to keep you logged in.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may process limited technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the Site.
3. Why we use it
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, to operate the member area, to keep the Site secure, and to understand and improve how the Site is used. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, our legitimate interest in running the Project, or the need to take steps you have asked for (such as signing you in). Where consent applies, you may withdraw it at any time.
5. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Site (for example hosting and email delivery), and only as needed. They are required to protect the data and use it solely to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email hello@thewhatifmovement.org. For data processed under Turkey's KVKK, see also our KVKK notice.
8. Cookies
For details on cookies and similar technologies, see our Cookie Policy.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date shows the latest revision.
